My Hair

I do believe it was my destiny to be born with red hair. *laughs*
That sentence makes so little sense. The Point: I always put red hair on my fantasy representations of myself (or want to).

Now, when I say red, please don't think I mean #FF0000. I don't even mean "red head" red.

If it were a natural possibility for a black person to be born a "red head" this would be that color. More like a dark #330000 if we're going to stay in the hex colors.

Yeah, in other words, like the highlights I already had. It gave my hair a "hint of dark reddish auburn" and I loved it, though others claimed they could hardly see it.

Well, by now, I've grown an inch of those highlights out and I spazz every time I look in the mirror. No! Not the red! It can't go away!

I'm just going to get it re-highlighted. I briefly imagined a full head of dark red auburn, but... no. Whatever frequent highlighting does is just fine.

But just maybe this time I could go a bitter "redder" (less brown) than last time.
It makes my heart race just thinking about it.

Actually, dried blood is very close to the red I have in mind. Or maybe not...
I'd show you a picture, but I haven't seen anyone with the hair color I want.

Of course, highlighting colors for dark hair is pretty shitty, but whatever, my stylist is truly gifted. She mixed 2 colors the first time and got exactly what I wanted. She'll make it happen.

HAHAHA! I know. Red Wine. That's the color. That'd be so awesome....

Oh it's natural, alright. Red runs in my family - mostly for the boys on my Mom's side, but we get an occasional girl on my Dad's side that pops up with red hair. It's usually anywhere from a brownish strawberry to Malcolm X's auburn. When my sister and I are in the sun for long periods (like when we were kids at summer camp) our hair streaks a dark auburn/mahogany.

!!!

That is so awesome. Sucks that I wasn't born with it, but I'm happy that there are people that are. ^_^

That line makes perfect sense to me because I've always felt the same way about myself! (I was born blond)

Though I have dyed my hair many colors, mostly I've dyed it various shades of red, though now I've had my natural hair color for some time now, it has gradually turned more and more red! My husband says I "willed it to be red" I think that is true!

Good luck with your red hair too!
