Color pencils aren't my medium of choice (I typically use markers and crayons) but I decided to roll with them in honor of getting them along with the book.

Now you know what I've been up to the tail end of this week. ^_^

Yes, we're talking about days consumed coloring. Some of those blades of grass have three shades of green overlayed and then I have to meditate on which colors I'm using where in which amounts.

Coloring.
Serious Business.

*laughs*

Oh, and what better way to say: Thank you Shadowfae! XD

You are so welcome!

This is a beautiful picture! I wasn't sure if you'd like colored pencils, but I thought I'd give it a try (I like them because of how you can blend colors together).

And coloring IS serious bidness!

:D

I never understood coloring books as a kid. I hated being forced to stay within the lines. I much preferred to do slap dash pictures on blank paper. I lack discipline for coloring books.

Rocka. Seriously. I woulda said I do a decent color but nowhere close to this.

Like alobar, I've always sucked at "Coloring within the Lines". You inspire me, though. I've been needing to do some form of Colorful Art, and I just haven't been feeling my normal fave, soft pastels.

I should find some colored markers and finish that page from the Discordian Coloring book that reminds us:

"The EnLightened take things Lightly"

;-)

What helped me early on with the 'lines' stuff is to outline what I was going to do with a marker, then color with a crayon. That made the line 'thicker' and I didn't have to be so careful near them. Plus, the marker gave the picture a nice boldness later. ^_^

If you are truly in the market for coloring books she got me this one from mindwareonline.com, but most of the ones I've gotten myself are Ruth Heller's Designs for coloring series.

Good call--I need something a bit more forgiving than a small little line to nudge up against.

"Forgiveness--it's not just for Chris+ians anymore..."
