So Many Pies, So Few Fingers

Food inquiry
Once upon a time in Chicago I had this breakfast item. It was served in an aluminum tin, about 3" deep and 8-10" around.

It wasn't a quiche. In quiches, the eggs are baked and you can slice it like a pie and stuff.

This was a bowl of soft cooked egg, potato, tomato, cheese and vegetable awesomeness: like a deep-dish omelet in a pie tin. It was far more food than should properly be called breakfast. It was served by an ethnic restaurant - but all I can remember for sure was that it wasn't European or South / Central American. All other countries are equally possible.

What IS THAT? I'd just like to know the name of it or what kind of restaurant would serve something like that.

Edit: Frittata appears to be the dish I had. ^_^

Sounds like a frittata to me.

You're the second person who has said this and it sounds exactly like what I'm looking for.
